The recent launch of Nirvana Health has brought state-of-the-art rehabilitation and recovery facilities to the Thames Valley.

Starting from just £15 per session for members, and £20 for non-members, Nirvana Health provides physical rehabilitation and assisted exercise through three unique aqua therapy pools; The Dead Sea Salt Pool, Hydrotherapy Pool and Balneotherapy Pool.
A new lease of life
Nirvana Spa member John, has been having regular sessions in the Dead Sea Salt Pool to address long-term pain in his shoulder. A sedentary working lifestyle had left John with a tight, locked muscle in his left shoulder resulting in limited mobility and pain in his neck and shoulder. Now retired, John wanted to address these issues to improve his quality of life. He had tried physio, massage and cortisone injections but none had provided lasting relief.
Floating in the Dead Sea Salt Pool, supported by 160 tonnes of salt, John has been able to perform gentle movements with ease, in a relaxing environment. Nirvana team devised a tailored programme of twice-weekly sessions that included stretching to increase muscle mobility, foam weights for strengthening and eventually endurance exercises to encourage the muscles to work for longer.
John has been amazed by the results he’s seen already, in only 12 weeks. His range of movement within the water has increased by 20% overall, his posture has improved, his shoulder has dropped and, crucially, he is now entirely pain free. The wider benefits have been immeasurable with improved sleep, increased comfort when driving and a new-found freedom of movement.
