27 June 2024Our New Class Timetable features three NEW classes. Keen to find out more, we sent three members to experience them firsthand. Here’s what they had to share about their experience:
CIRCUITS 9AM FRIDAY
Circuits with Greg was a great start to the day. The warm-up alone was quite demanding, setting the pace for the rest of the class. We cycled through approximately 10 different stations, each containing various exercises from burpees to skipping and star jumps.
What truly elevated the experience was Greg’s personalised approach. He made a point to check in on each participant, ensuring everyone was being challenged appropriately. Whether providing modified versions for those struggling or offering additional weight for those needing an extra push, Greg’s attention to detail was commendable.
Given the intensity of the workout and the expected muscle fatigue, the undeniable post-class satisfaction left me eager for another session.

LES MILLS DANCE™ 6PM MONDAY
The first thing I noticed about this class is how popular and busy it was, even though it only started last week. I had heard so many positive things about the first session so, even though I probably have the worst dancing skills of anyone I know, I was excited to try it out.
The class started with our instructor, Megan, telling us that she had just run the London marathon only yesterday! Her energy and approach to this class made me really want to put my all into it – if she could do this after a marathon, I could do it after spending the day at my desk. I was nervous about being less coordinated than the other people at the class, so I took a spot at the back. This proved to be a very wise choice because it meant I could follow the more confident women in front of me, and it made me really appreciate the fact that we were dancing together to help one another get fit.
I loved the format of the class, as each new track started, Megan would teach us the individual sequences, before putting them all together to make a bouncy and surprisingly tough workout! After some of the more intense dances, there would be some lighter exercise. This was great for me because it meant I really pushed myself through each stage, knowing that I was earning a nice stretch afterwards.
Megan was good at noticing the energy of the class, encouraging us when we got tired, and helping us to not take ourselves to seriously and just have fun! That was the best part about this class, it was just so fun. I am not an athlete by any stretch, and honestly the idea of working out in a group scares me a bit because I constantly think “am I doing this wrong? Is anyone looking at me?” But this class felt very different, I got a LOT of things wrong, but I also felt myself improve each time I repeated the routine, and I really like the idea of coming back each week to get better every time (maybe I will eventually start on the right foot).
The best part about this class is that you can very much make it your own: whether you want to jump through every song or just start to get yourself moving, you can do Les Mills Dance™. I will definitely be doing this class again, and again!

BODYSTEP™ 10AM TUESDAY
I tried the New BodyStep ™class and it was a great experience! Whist the workout was quite intense and targeted my whole body, the class was fun, and I really enjoyed it.
As a beginner, I appreciated the gentle warm-up which consisted of light stretching for the legs and arms followed by some squats and lunges which raised my heart rate and helped ease me into the main workout.
The atmosphere was vibrant, and I felt energised throughout. The moves were varied and dynamic and included a mix of bodyweight and resistance exercises. Although the workout was challenging, the music was upbeat, and the instructor’s infectious energy kept me focused and motivated. I even managed the burpees and push-ups which gave me a real feeling of accomplishment!
I would highly recommend BodyStep™ to anyone looking for a fun way to improve their overall fitness. It was a positive experience, and I can’t wait for my next session!
