Discretionary Service Charge
26 January 2022The Link Visiting Scheme at Nirvana Spa
3 May 2022We are delighted to announce a new partnership with the University of Reading School of Psychology to explore whether regular use of our spa pools brings benefits to wellbeing and psychological health.
We are looking for volunteers to take part over the next few months. If you would like to take part, you will receive 8 free visits to Nirvana, each lasting 40 minutes. For full details and to see if you are eligible, please read on.
The study
Participation in the study will take place over a 10-week period as follows:
- An online introductory session
- Eight 40-minute spa sessions – you will attend the spa once each week, preferably on the same day and at the same time. On each visit to the spa, you will be asked to spend time in one of three pools (our Celestial Floatation Pool, our Dead Sea Salt Therapy Pool, or our Balneotherapy Pool in the Colosseum Suite). Once you have completed your 40-minute session you will be asked not to use any of the other pool facilities and return only for your following scheduled sessions. In addition, during you first and last visit we will ask some general questions about you and your health, such as height and weight, and then you will complete a series of mood questionnaires.
- An online follow up session
