Savour the moment: Indulge in our new Afternoon Tea
We are delighted to relaunch our afternoon tea menu, inviting you to indulge in a time-honoured tradition with a contemporary twist. There’s something magical about afternoon tea—more than just the delicious spread, it’s about taking a pause in the day, enjoying great company, and savouring every bite. And here, in the beautiful setting of our spa, the mood is set for the perfect, leisurely catch-up over a plate of sumptuous treats.
The moment you sit down, a selection of beautifully crafted sandwiches arrives—each one more tempting than the last. From the classic pairing of smoked salmon and cream cheese, to the comforting egg mayonnaise, the sandwiches are both traditional and elegant. My personal favourite? The generous slices of tender beef, perfectly complemented by zesty horseradish and fresh watercress.
No afternoon tea would be complete without scones, and Head Chef James has truly outdone himself with his signature scones. Rich in taste, yet incredibly light and fluffy, they’re perfect when topped with a generous dollop of clotted cream and jam—however you prefer to layer them!
But, it’s the cakes and pastries that steal the show, each one a work of art, guaranteed to wow both your eyes and taste buds. Start with the mini lemon meringue, a tangy bite of the quintessential English dessert, its sharp lemon curd perfectly balanced by the sweet, pillowy meringue.
Next up is the fruit tart—an elegant pastry filled with smooth, velvety crème pâtissière and topped with bright, seasonal berries. The delicate crunch of the pastry gives way to the creamy filling, while the burst of fresh fruit adds a burst of flavour and colour.
The hazelnut and chocolate éclair is a showstopper in itself, featuring a silky hazelnut-chocolate crème pâtissière, finished with a touch of gold leaf for a luxurious twist.
And for the grand finale, the chocolate and cherry delice—a heavenly combination of amarena cherry and genoise sponge, cloaked in a rich, dark chocolate. It’s a little naughty, but worth every bite.
